Building Bangladesh’s Organic Fertilizer Industry

Bangladesh’s agriculture sector is the backbone of its economy, but traditional farming practices have often relied heavily on chemical fertilizers, harming soil health and long-term productivity. Recognizing this challenge early on, Green Chashee Md. Kamruzzaman Mridha committed himself to promoting organic fertilizer production and sustainable agriculture.

After starting his career in agricultural research in 2000, Mridha shifted focus to manufacturing organic fertilizers using innovative, eco-friendly methods. His company, Mridha Agri Care Ltd., quickly became a trusted name, offering farmers safer, more sustainable options that improve soil quality and crop yields without the damaging effects of synthetic chemicals.

His leadership in the sector extends beyond business. As President of the Bangladesh Organic Products Manufacturers Association (BOPMA), Mridha has worked to unite producers, advocate for supportive policies, and raise awareness among farmers about the benefits of organic farming.

By promoting organic fertilizer, he contributes to reducing environmental pollution, conserving soil health, and ensuring food security for future generations. His mission reflects a broader commitment to sustainability and responsible growth in Bangladesh’s agricultural landscape.

Today, thanks to the efforts of leaders like Mridha, organic farming is gaining traction across Bangladesh. His work shows that sustainable agriculture isn’t just an ideal but a practical path to long-term prosperity for farmers and the nation.
